By far, one of the top questions I get as an Ayurvedic practitioner is how one should eat for their dosha. The truth is, handing over a lengthy list of what to eat and what to avoid isn’t always so effective. My preference is to discuss a few qualities of food an individual should favor, such as cooked and warm. But every now and then, a great Ayurvedic cookbook comes along making my job much easier.

We have Laura Plumb to thank for the most recent cookbook to join these ranks! Her book Ayurveda Cooking for Beginners keeps the theory “food is thy medicine” attainable for even the most novice cook. There are over 100 recipes that involve few steps and minimal ingredients along with seasonal meal plans and an Ayurvedic eating guide.

I was lucky to get my hands on some recipes before this book is available to the public (yeah, I kind of feel like a big deal). I wanted to share this one with you!
