It’s exciting to learn more about the ways you can balance your dosha or doshic imbalance, but you can feel defeated when your favorite foods are on your “reduce” or “avoid” list. But wait! There are ways that you can make modifications to specific foods or dishes that make it gentler on your dosha. One of my favorite ways is to have doshic spice blends on hand. These are blends of spices that help to bring a more desired post-digestive effect, even when eating something that isn’t quite right for you. You can sprinkle it onto your food after it is prepared, or add it while cooking.

You’ll be making three different blends with these ingredients, and the process is simple. You’ll mix the following ingredients in separate shakers to create three doshic spice blends.
